Fidele Ndayisaba has been appointed as the new Director-General of an electric supply company called International Electricity Society of the Great Lakes (SINELAC).
As SINELAC’s directors are nominated by Rwanda, Ndayisaba was appointed by on October 19.
He is succeeding Jean Claude Mvuyikongo.
Speaking to The New Times, Ndayisaba said he is grateful for his new responsibilities of playing part in the development of Rwanda and neighbouring countries as well.
“Electricity is an important factor in economic development. This institution is in charge of the production and supply of electricity, by maximizing the potential from natural resources such as Rusizi River,” he said.
